Gods of the West Shard

When conciousness was seeded into the flesh of mortals there were two gods, ■■■■ and Arcana. At this time, all the land was one and all the water was one. The two gods nurtured and cultivated conciousness across all the lands. After some time, new gods started existing, gods of many different things, each with their own unique abilities and personalities.
The Two Divisions
After thousands of years, ■■■■ created a new species, which did not represent some any aspects. This angered many of the gods, who saw it as an offence to their very essence that ■■■■ would create a being that did not represent anything.
Because of this, Arcana and ■■■■ both fought against each other in a war that lasted hundreds of years, and ended when the lands split in two, and dominion over one of the halves was given to ■■■■.
After many centuries of ruling alone, ■■■■ split themselves into dozens of shards of their essence, which became new gods in and of themselves, but in doing so lost their memories of the past.
V’klan of Alkn’ak - Origins of Onomancy
When the Orcish hero V’klan reached the peak of Mount Kalinos (location unknown), he came upon a pillar to the heavens, enscribed with secrets of the aspects of onomancy. He thought to himself ‘surely this is a gift from the heavens themselves’, and so read these secrets and took them upon himself.
When he returned to his people in Alkn’ak he shared the secrets, and they shared them far and wide. They did not know that these secrets would anger the gods, let alone give control over some of their powers.
It is said that Alkn’ak was destroyed by a strike of lightning, a tornado, an erupting volcano and a flood, all during a total eclipse.
After this event, the gods pleaded to Arcana, the eldest of the gods, to remove the secrets from the mortals memories, but Anacronath warnedthat she had seen that it would not work, that the mortals would find a way to rediscover these secrets one way or another, so Arcana removed the memories of the names of any god who wished to avoid the Onomancy.
