Session 4 - The Fence
Anor comes and apologizes for Ylyathid’s anger from the previous date.
He offers the help of the Kaesse temple and gives William a one use sending stone, which when heated it will send a signal to one or many other stones elsewhere
John Carpenter gives William 12gp worth of metal. He hides his ‘work’ from him but isn’t very subtle. William sees his chest of nails, which is a large locker filled to the brim with nails
William explains his pepperbox to Turner.
The party start looking into the note they recieved about Abathar’s fence.
After asking around, they found that Abathar was just a random person from Outer Falker.
When abathar came to the door they questioned him about his fence, and he claimed ignorance.
The party entered Abathar’s mansion and had tea in the foyer.
Abathar used to be a spymaster.
They quesion further about the death of John, Karg and Kallana’s father, and read his mind.
The party discovers that Abathar’s wife took his death sentence instead when he was found guilty of the murder of John, Karg and Kallana’s father.
Abathar says that their father was watching for elves and telling as a scout, to warn of any incoming invasions/incursions.
He says Ylyathid wasn’t around then and he saw all elves as bad.
He is convinced that the elves have had 30 years behind the wall to prepare for an attack.
As the detect thoughts ends Turner catches a glimpse of Sasha.
The party collects the taxes then returns to Abathar’s mansion and overhears him yelling at Sasha telling her to skip town, that she can’t sell in Falker anymore, that she needs to escape.
I know you heard them! I was watching you! Why didn’t you do something!
This is when they realise what ‘The Fence’ means.
